Did my last race for the year today
The Dumyat Dash Hill Race
Also did the NIghtmare series race No 2 at St Andrews West Sands the other week so that brings my total for the year to 81 Bob.

Suspect you will not be far behind me or even in front which is an amazing feat as u are not on top form due to them little Ticks eh
Good effort Bob and roll on the new year so we can start it all again lol

Almost found my way :-p

Was there a wee bit snow at Menstrie?
Go look for just one more before the year ends
.. maybe a Hogmanay race .. or maybe East Lothian Score 'O' tomorrow if it's still on (not for me .. too far away)
..and John, look out for a dark horse (maybe a filly) coming up on the rails.

Oh this is so unfair!!

I have finshed the year out with a lowly 47 races to my name

Partly due to being injured for almost 3 months but would have had quite a few more if all the cross country and other races hadn't been cancelled recently due to the weather!

Just did the 2nd Nightmare race and the Dumyat Dash, the same as Brian, but thats it for December!

So yes my very poor end of year total is 47!!

I promise I shall try harder next year!

Just consider this past year as a warm-up for next year's addiction ... which starts as usual with the Blairgowrie 4mile RR at 1pm on New Year's Day

I am heading through to Edinburgh to do the Portobello Promathon 4 mile race on New Year's Day so that will get me started for 2011!!

Bring it on!

I can't Bob, I'm helping out at parkrun before I go to do the Promathon!

BUT I am doing the Carnegie Harriers/Pitreavie paarleuf race on Sunday and then the Greenmantle Dash on Monday 3rd so that will give me 3 races in 3 days which I think is a pretty good start to 2011 if I do say so myself!!

Catch me if you can boys!!

Okay, I wasn’t going to add mine but to hell with it, why not…….

Total for me is 69 this year, not to shabby I reckon, even missed a few after picking up a couple of niggles this year. Here’s hoping we all have a trouble free 2011

Role on the Promathon to kick start the year, all the best folks (and all at Fife AC)

Cheers

Well done to all of you for last year.

All those poor knees though.

Good luck for this year and may you all remain injury free and Tickety Boo.

Brian , can't you find a Carnegie chum who needs a partner for their paarlauf and then you can both dash across to Falkland for the Hare & Tortoise

Yes bob I did indead find a Carnegie Chum and did that race at 11 but we had to stay and collect our second place prize so could not make it along to the Fife race as well
Greenmantle Dash it was today bringing the total up to 4 for the year so far
Carnegie Mel not far behind and she is on 3.
Early days but good start to the new year

Off to slow start again this year .. only 3 for January , but maybe February will be better.
Looking further ahead though .. I see that the Addiction Support Agency (better known as the three race Highland Boundary Series organised by Adrian Davis at Birnam&Dunkeld) is planned again for the 25th/26th/27th March ... always a springtime boost for flagging totals.

Was on 9 after yeaterdays Parkrun and decided to do the Orienteering Sprint event in Edinburgh today which consisted of two seperate races but I will only count it as one race as it was the same event that counted to an overall time between the two races.
So I am on 10 for Jan

I'm on a total of 6 for January aswell!! 4 behind Brian Smith already, how did that happen??

Maybe if I ran at parkrun rather than volunteering that would boost my totals but I've gone of little flat 5k races, a bit too boring and easy for my liking!

Apparently they were going to have a Park Run Series at Camperdown in Dundee but it was vetoed (by the council, I think)
On the Fife cycling time-trial series .. if a competitor marshals instead of racing he still gets some points .. hard luck Mel .. but you can check with Chris.

Just read in the Courier that I missed an 800mPloughed Muddy Field Race at the Cairn o' Mohr Winery, Errol at the weekend
Would that have counted , Chris ?

Bob here is the pic of the Race Junkie Trophy you passed onto me the other week and keep telling me to post a pic.
Understand now why you were in such a rush to hand it over to me even tho we tied on races last year,
I am beginning to think it is cursed as I picked up yet another injury at last nights Nightmare race when I pulled something after comming out the icy Forth and pushing it a bit too hard too soon

Never mind was beginning to miss my bandages and strapping tape etc holding me togeher when running

Dont worry Bob I am falling to bits and couldnt even manage to go to the Bishop hill race the day after the Falkland flyer last week as I have picked up another injury on the other leg now so thats both legs bust so having to take a rest for a bit

Never mind still managed 7 in Feb so that takes my total for the year so far to 17

Yeah Bob, I wouldn't worry I only managed 4 and a 1/2 in February too so that takes me to 10 1/2 total!

Mr Brian Rrrrrrrrrr Smith is still way ahead even tho he keeps loosing bits of leg at races!!! A bit of injury time won't kill him, gives the rest of us a chance!

There is some catch up work to be done I think!! 10 months is along time and its all to play for!
