Fife AC over 40 veteran Beverley Gibson placed 9th overall, first female at the Edinburgh Meadows Marathon an event incorporating half marathon, 10km and 5km races. Gibson finished in 3 hours 22 minutes 57 seconds, ten minutes clear of the nearest female opposition.

Fife AC athlete Annabel Simpson retained her Scottish Schools Cross-Country over 17’s title at Beach Park, Irvine, representing Kilgraston School, Bridge of Earn.

Simpson covered the 3 mile course in 17 minutes 57 seconds twenty seconds clear of Mary Macintosh (Nairn Acad.). Fife colleagues Ailsa Cruickshanks (Waid Acad.) 18.46 and Eilidh Smyth (Madras) 19.10 followed home in 3rd and 4th respectively.

Tristan Rees won the boys 15-17 race for St Leonards with brother George in 5th and James Donald (Baldragon) in 7th.

Fife AC has just welcomed its newest group of athletes to train with the Club. The athletes have graduated from the Leven and Glenrothes Run, Jump, Throw classes and now train in Glenrothes on Wednesdays with our new coaches Nicola Trainer and Josh High. We are delighted that the new training group has started and thanks to Jen Kibble, Fife AC’s Club Together Officer, for all her hard work organising this.

Recently Fife AC was awarded a grant by the very kind people at The Lottery, and part of money was given to spend on equipment - hurdles, stopwatches, speed sleds, medicine balls, weights, starting blocks, aqua jogging belts and vests for Kingdom Athletic. Here are photos of some of the equipment:
